Aurora hunting
Head out after dusk – the best chances run from autumn through spring.
Suomu has little light pollution, and the northern lights can be seen from September to April whenever the sky is dark and clear. The best viewing spots are open places with a view to the north: lean-tos, the fell slopes and the lake shores.
